Péter Balogh & Vassilis Petsinis
Péter Balogh is a PhD canditate in human geography, Stockholm University, and connected to CBEES, Södertörn University. His research areas are: Borders, Political geography, Identities, Nationalism, Geopolitics, Central & Eastern Europe.
Dr Vassilis Petsinis holds a Ph.D. in Russian and East European Studies from the University of Birmingham. He has been a Regional Fellow at New Europe College Bucharest (2005-2006). At the moment he is a Visiting Researcher at the Herder Institute (Marburg, Germany). His main areas of specialization are European Politics and Ethnopolitics with a regional focus on Central and Southeast Europe. He is also coducting research in Central and Eastern European Studies, connected to the Centre for Languages and Literature, Lund University.

Despite the modest albeit important economic recovery in the past 2–3 years Hungary has a number of challenges that can harm its development already in the short and medium term, and these have hardly been addressed in the campaign. The Orbán-regime mostly plans to carry on with its earlier policies.
